Uma região Além da Imaginação." Essa era a narrativa inicial de todos os episódios de Além da Imaginação, série criada por Rod Serling entre 1959 e 1964 em preto e branco, para o canal CBS nos EUA. No Brasil, a série começou a ser transmitida nos anos 60 e está no ar até hoje no canal de TV a cabo USA.
Nos anos 60, havia uma ansiedade no ar, durante toda a semana, até a chegada do sábado, à espera de um novo episódio de Além da Imaginação. O público ficava maravilhado com aquele mundo paralelo, cheio de fantasia e absurdos com lógica e que poderia até passar por verdade na mente de algumas pessoas mais influenciáveis.
